Metamorphosis

METAMORPHOSIS is an intensive five-day workshop exploring the relationship between image, animation, sound and emerging technologies.

Starting from a static poster, participants will build its digital extension and turn it into an augmented experience in which the image gains movement, sound and new layers of meaning.

The workshop theme is transformation

• One form can become another.
• An image can begin to move.
• A detail can trigger a story.
• A sound can completely change how we perceive what we see.

What you will explore

Throughout the workshop, participants will go through a complete creative process, from the initial idea to the final experience.

• augmented-reality technologies
• integrating visual and sonic elements into an augmented poster

The emphasis will be on experimentation, the creative process and collaboration. Technology is approached not only as a tool, but as part of an artistic language that can change the relationship between image, space and viewer.

What you will create

At the end of the five days, participants will create a series of original augmented posters and audiovisual compositions.

The works will be presented to the public in a Future Frames Bucharest exhibition on 6-7 November 2026. The workshop thus continues beyond the lab through the encounter between the works and the festival audience.

Who it is for

Open to people aged 18+ interested in film, photography, animation, visual arts, sound design, augmented reality, new media, storytelling and technology. No previous professional experience is required.

We are looking for curious people interested in experimenting and exploring new forms of expression at the intersection of art and technology.

Participants will work in a small group of no more than 10 people, allowing for an intensive, hands-on and collaborative process.
